DT/NEK (Documents tracing at the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant)
DT is an intranet system for tracing the acceptance of procedures. It enables users of the intranet to accurately trace the history (including comments and notes) and status of procedures. It also provides users with the entry point for coordinating the delivery and receipt of individual procedures, as well as allowing users to set notification flags. Authorisation can be customised for each procedure. The system is scalable for larger business systems. The system may be continuously adapted to users' requirements; this was confirmed during our successful implementation at the Nuclear Power Plant, Krsko.
The DT/NEK intranet system was developed for the needs of the Engineering Support Department at the Krsko Nuclear Plant, which uses it for tracing procedures and their acceptance. Safe and reliable procedures are of key significance, especially in the case of such a vast, demanding, and sensitive system, as used in a nuclear plant.
Through our use of advanced technologies, such as XML, PostgreSQL, Linux, Apache and Perl, we were able to attain the desired results. In comparison with similar projects, we were able to provide a solution, based upon Open Source solutions, at a more favourable price. The DT/NEK system is in full operation.
